I continue to gain qi while the game is paused — is this intentional?
In theory, this shouldn't happen, but without skills, there's simply no other way to progress. Or try dying of old age a hundred times to level up your karma.
But it's advisable to advance in cultivation to unlock faster time acceleration. Otherwise, you'll be the one dying of old age.
