Monetization is closed here on itch since this is just a demo for that version.
Chapter 4 will probably become free here on itch at some point too, but that'll likely be the final free chapter I release. Therefore I feel no rush to release it now when the game will be developed for much longer.
Once the game is completed I might sell the full game here on itch as well as on Steam if all goes according to plan, but it will be more expensive than the 3 dollars you can play the latest release on Patreon for.
That's right, you're correct. And about those people sending links, I found out on a Discord server that they were sending everything complete. I don't know how, but it seemed like they were making it available in APK format for PC and mobile. I'll see if I can find it.
