Played first few minutes. I like the artstyle and the environment. What kept me from playing was the lack of polish in terms of the code + some game design stuff that hinder progress.

Firstly, it is unclear where to go inside the rest stop. I know it's a hard decision to make to go with either atmosphere or communication of goals, but in this scenario, it's much better for the player to know where exactly to go rather than keep them in the dark and ruin the progress. I had to restart the game to figure out where exactly to stop the car.

And another point, some of the movement code is janky and weird and totally ruins the experience I had. the code for reversing the car is inverted. The movement of the camera moves along with the bobbing of the player's head, which is really distracting. I also encountered a bug where, since I was moving during the first jumpscare, the movement animation kept going while speaking to the old guy. After that my movement axis went all whack.

Its a promising game and tbh I was pretty impressed by the aesthetics, but some more code polishing can do this well and I will give it a try when updates come out.

thank you for your comment. This project was smth like really new and different for me so yeah it has bugs. Ill fix them in next episode :)
