It's hilarious that, reading the comments, the only retort anyone has to your justified complaints is "erm, it's a beta test so like, erm, be patient bucko!" As though an update singlehandedly destroying any good feelings you had for the game isn't a horrifically bad thing for the devs.

Er... Yes? The fact that it's a shadow build released explicitly for testing is an important thing to consider. While feedback is important, it's a highly unstable build which was shadow dropped, and most of the concerns brought up in OP's comment aren't even intentional; a lot of it is bugs (like the fuse problem), or unbalanced things that exist with temporary, unfinished values. This is all explained and presented to players directly.
Imagine you bake a cake, and someone wants to eat your cake before it's finished. You tell them, explicitly, "Hey, the cake is unfinished, the ingredients aren't all in it yet, this cake is not at all representative of what the final cake is meant to look like and you probably won't have a good experience". You then eat the cake despite receiving those warnings, and then you talk about how shit and horrible the cake is and how you don't care at all about the cake anymore, despite the fact you willingly chose to eat the cake after it was explained to you that the cake was not at all finished and you are definitely not going to like the cake.
