I'm not sure, the last thing I heard about her was someone mentioning that she had a baby or something on the coments of one of her games (although I don't know if it's true), in Discord, the last thing she said regarding updates to her games was about Mettaton's route in IF Underfell around March of this year, and on Tumblr, the most recent thing I found was about Gaster from IF Dancetale in May. Beyond that, I haven't heard anything else, although there's still hope that she'll come back (considering that it hasn't even been a year since the last thing she said), and If the baby thing is true, that might be the reason for her inactivity. Whatever the case may be, all we can do is wait for her to give us more news, whether it's about her games or her situation in general.
This isn't related to Darkpetal (or not entirely), but after seeing some of your other comments, I'll tell you that most IF/text-based games are made in engines like Twine and another one (somewhat strange in my opinion) It's Choice of Games, although I'm not sure if that's the name of the engine, but that's what the page is called.
