Personally, I'd be more interested in a new game, like what happened with Yume 2kki. I love the original Yume Nikki and all, but getting to explore another creator's unique twist to the Yume Nikki "genre" (if you want to call it that) is more appealing to me, personally.

If you did a remake combined with something of your own creation, I think it'd absolutely be fantastic. You'd probably want to specify on the menu screen that it's partially a 3D remake and partially something new, but I imagine there'd be a lot of interest from the Yume Nikki community. I know I definitely would be interested in getting to play something old with a new weird twist on it.
I'm very excited to see what you might have cooking up with this, but I imagine that this stuff takes a ton of work/time to make, so it'd be understandable if you'd rather move on to something else.
Either way, I will be watching with great interest.
