The game is a rhythm game style game, not a simple fighting game. I am sorry you feel like some things are inconsistent, but I assure you that the attacks arrive at the exact same time every time. The game relies on you learning these patterns, and reacting to them.

The gun enemy also has a sound effect that helps you react.
Perhaps I could have given longer visuals as well, but I wanted an enemy where the gimmick is that you have to react almost instantly.

I don't want to give away too much, but I assure you that in the long term, spamming will not be enough. The early phases are there so you could easily learn to navigate the main patterns. If you rid yourself of learning the mechanics by spamming, you will not reach the ending, most likely.

That being said, I understand your comments. I will keep them in mind for the future.
