Of course all quests don't appear at the beginning but as you complete the quest more will appear. So no. If you complete all the quests on the side quests and main quests that appear on captains rooms you completed all the content available for the moment.
The haunted island quest was one of the first quest I made, even before all the QOL implements that why you still need to talk with Marta to continue and has no marker on the map.
