Totally understand your point on the satanist part! I didn’t want to focus too much on it in this release since it’s a smaller part of his character.
To calrify, Avon isn’t a modern-day Satanist. His connection to it comes wayy more from his father’s past involvement in a satanic cult and being raised under similar ideologies.
But its because of that influence, his understanding leans toward the older, more ritualistic and darker side of satanism, rather than the philosophical or symbolic version most people think of today, so that's why it may come off as stereotypical! (We did worry about that haha)
But he 100% does not behave the way he does because he's a Satanist. He behaves the way he does because of his father, circumstance, and other factors I don't want to spoil quite yet haha (terribly sorry). Hopefully I can build more on that in the future! Tysm for your comment <3
