After playing the demo for an afternoon I have to walk away from this one out of frustration. I hope it gets more attention because I see potential and I love the art style. The game play is simple, fun, and addictive. My frustration comes from the players inability to keep pace with the enemy power levels. You face stronger enemies than you have access to and there are so few resources to improve your units that on three different new game runs where I focused on different strategies I was walled at the fourth dungeon each time. You lose a character if you are defeated and it cost resources to get a replacement up to par, but you get no resources if you lose. So with no way to get more gold you are stuck in a snowball situation where your deck gets weaker every run and you cannot upgrade anything unless you somehow defeat the entire dungeon. You cannot farm earlier dungeons either because after finishing one that dungeon is scaled up disproportionately to the rewards the player is given  Having to choose how to spend your energy (drawing vs playing cards) is a fun mechanic but I wish there were more options to scale your energy gain so you don't have so many "dead turns" where you just draw two and pass. I would also love to see more ways to improve or alter your cards/deck besides spending resources in town or at the end of a successful dungeon run, like random encounters between dungeon fights.

I'll admit it's absolutely possible I am just uniquely bad at this game and thus my opinions should be ignored. I really want to like it and I had fun up to a point, but feeling powerless as three save files fall apart at the same point is my limit for now.

Thank you so much for playing! Yes I understand the frustration and I also had the feeling that this would happen. And I'm sorry to hear that it happened to you. I might not be able to upgrade these stuff because the sales is low but I thank you for the feedback anyway.
