seems like you found out that it often isn't worth hitting on stuff like 14/15. Sometimes your risk of busting is worse than hoping the dealer busts.
Tbf without the upgrade tree you are also at a slight disadvantage when you're playing perfect so it's normal to be losing a lot, that's why there's this loan system and all the upgrades to massively turn the game in your advantage.
