I agree that the brother relationship was solved rather quickly. However, her paranoia is valid. She's a victim of power dynamics and is too swamped up in her own murk to realize her brother is as well. Not to mention seemingly everyone around her, from the townsfolk to her own parents, removing her humanity. Honestly, I think the weirdest thing about the whole story is that she chose the war as her way of getting free. Then again, she was neglected and never given a proper education. She's 29 but seemingly has the mentality of a 17 year old. Also, considering the setting, and Ramon's own trauma, I doubt mental health professionals are a thing LMAO.
