A first person shooter is ambitious in a game jam. I had fun playing it and enjoyed the different weapons. I also enjoyed the music. It was kinda like one of the carnival games where you shoot the targets, but in 3D.
It would have been nice to have a tutorial. I had no idea what the goal of the game was. I really enjoyed shooting stuff and trying the weapons, but I didn't have a goal other than survival. It would have been nice to know that the "trick" boxes were damaging me with another sound effect. The "look out" sound made me thing something was behind me and it took me a game to learn that was happening when I collected stuff. It's also worth mentioning that the AI-generated cover art was cool, but led me to think I'd be fighting vampire, werewolves and ghosts.
The enemies could attack and move through the walls of the starting shed. Maybe that was intended? Also, they swarmed so quickly that I didn't really get a chance to use the scope on the sniper rifle. Even though it was on a hill, it was still in the trees. I would've loved the time to use it. A reload mechanic would have been nice. It also took me a while to learn you reloaded by picking up ammo boxes, after I tried stockpiling all the ones in the shed. I also would have preferred you captured the cursor so I would turn around using the mouse. Even in full screen I felt limited in my turn radius.
Really well done for a game jam. You had a fully functional FPS game that was FUN. That is no small task!
