It's strange. Making it a mandatory element, and giving it a crucial importance... It can be useful for those who can't come up with anything or have a free-form idea where anything can be stuffed. However, those with a well-thought-out and structured idea will have to lose in the voting.

I absolutely agree, this feels forced and limiting in what ideas can work, especially when these are thrown in the mix late into the jam, when you've potentially already spent days working on something that fundamentally cannot work with those.

Giving bonus points for those makes sense, but needing a crucial importance is a lot to ask imo.

I agree, as I have made a rhythm game so I had to include a clock that bets you cant beta it just to meet the requirements, and  I am stuck waiting for the second theme as the rest of my game is done.
