That's odd, it shouldn't be all that intensive, if you can get to the main menu try lowering the graphics and render distance? If not, that's definitely odd, what are you running it on if you don't mind my asking?, :o
Seems ever since i updated it to a new version of unity it's had issues, might have to update just to downgrade to an earlier version of unity just for stability at this point, XD
