Hi Wolph!! Thanks so much for checking us out! To progress in the minigame you have to just add the right 4 potions (and also the pen! very crucial for good ending), and a pink potion will appear on the desk, you can click it to get to the good end. Other endings (neutral, bad) will either go straight to the cutscene or you will need to click on the cauldron once you cannot select more ingredients. The UI with the necessary information during the minigame didn't show up in the final build fsr (which we'll work on fixing later on), so we're sorry if that's what made it confusing OTL.
