lwk just get caught a lot (before collecting the first blueprint) then try to leave; the game will allow you to skip it
i made it through with hella save scumming so you may be able to too, but that was just me
yeah i got the prompt but i didnt click the skip cuz i thought it was a skill issue on my part. but i just brute forced it until i made it through so it is possible but still kinda bs
