I can't seem to become Madeline's slave! I thought surrendering at the end of the fight would do it, but nothing seems to result in staying with her.
Am I missing some dialog option or just choosing the wrong responses or something?

you need to lose like a few times. at least when you have a tea party with her then you need to say she manipulated you
