I'd suggest checking out My Dystopian Robot Girlfriend and Nine Lives of Yoki (both are on Itch.io) if you're looking for more "content" while they work on it. I've heard some good stuff about both, but I cannot confirm as I have not yet gotten around to playing either.
Another game I'd recommend is Life in Woodchester - it's pretty good, just don't expect any updates since the game is basically dead when it comes to new content.
