Well, in the late game, everything becomes useless, because you FINISHED the game. And I think the dev wouldn't like to work on changing the entire shop system just to add a skill tree.
Then an adittion to the story would be great
Yeah i think he's working on that too since the game doesn't have an end yet, but I'm still enjoying the new minigames addition.
