We want to keep the jam casual and fun, with less emphasis on competition and more emphasis on the creative works being displayed, so the voting will likely be a fairly casual process when compared to typical vote casting.
A lot of this jam is about building a community of creators who want to work with each other and help each other shine, so we are considering asking creators to post their top pick for the "best theme implementation" in a dedicated community tab at the end of December--perhaps with a few words as to why they think that game deserves the top pick. We want to encourage creators to play each other's games and share the aspects that they enjoyed about those games.
We will create a dedicated tab with a short list of rules and qualifications for voting, after the Jam ends. The top voted game will also receive a shout out on the jam page along with the favourite picks from each of our Novembuck Jam team members (Loudo, JamieDerg, Cheetah, Myself and perhaps a few surprise guests--but more on them later!)
