Rating: 1/10
This RPG Maker MZ project feels very much like a starter experiment, and while I appreciate the effort, it still has a long way to go.
What didn’t work for me:
- No random encounters, which made the final boss fight feel like a slog rather than a climax.
- No mana potions or healing options, so wizards quickly run out of magic and become dead weight.
- No story to tie the gameplay together, leaving the experience feeling hollow.
- Frequent grammar mistakes that broke immersion.
- No music at all, which was a major disappointment—the use of premade samples considered not welcomed in the community as a final project.
What I did like:
- Some creative use of mechanics, like changing tiles and requiring specific party members to pass certain obstacles. These touches showed potential for puzzle-like gameplay.
Final thoughts: Right now, this feels more like a proof of concept than a finished game. There was an attempt, and I encourage the developer to keep at it—focus on adding story, polish, and atmosphere, because the mechanical foundation shows promise.
