So while I was playing, I kept thinking that the scientist, Nils, seemed extremely familiar, and it finally hits me where I've seen him before. Royal Order! I actually really like him in this art style too, he looks so soft and the piercings are a nice touch.

He's a kickstarter backer character so I'm guessing the other one probably is too!
