I could see this being a more fleshed-out puzzle game in the future--

You could possibly make geometry-based puzzles; maybe you have to attack shapes or things at specific angles to make them the correct shape? Not sure yet, haha, but I'm sure you can do something with this if you expand on the idea.

you're not too far off from the original idea! it had a story that gave the "attacking shapes" more meaning than just that.

currently busy with some things and college but I'm definitely making that demo :D
