You have to download together with the mod, a geckolib request mod, to make its animations work otherwise it doesn't work, if you have put together optfine I tell you that it doesn't work since v0.4 was put which is the new one you have to have "v0.3" or "0.2 snapshot" but it will be difficult because the creator removed it in the download
