Instead of a skip button, you can just hold CTRL — just make sure the right checkboxes are enabled in the settings.
As for movement with the arrow keys — that’s a good idea, but sometimes there are more than four paths on screen, which could make things confusing.
The main trigger for story progression is sleep, so if I added a “skip night” option outside the bed, I’d have to rewrite a lot of the game’s logic — and I’d really prefer to avoid that.
