i like that you covered the possibility of the player immediately trying to leave
the visual style is cool, and narrative hooks you in from the start

unfortunately i got stuck after the first room, i couldnt figure out what i ws supposed to trigger there
but i enjoyed unlocking all the variations of "why dark when lit room" sentences thanks to it

definitely a game that I would like to watch my favourite youtubers play

also I'm a little confused about how this ties into the theme, because i couldnt find a way to die in-game. What was the opportunity?

Problem was my time management. I need more practice and I will make a better version of this game later. I wanted to make more narration after the room and another room that would unlock after the player reads the letter and then get killed by the knife.

dude I relate a lot, I miscalculated the time too and ended with a pretty barebones version of my intended idea haha

Sure, time can hit you hard in gamejam, but it’s all about making mistakes and learn more about the progress of making games. The games will never be perfect in this jams but we can learn to control our time management with every new try. ;)
