Well.

I'm absolutely disappointed with the ending of this game. I spent over an hour beating the boss with a sword (which I luckily had some Strength gear for, BECAUSE MAGIC SUCKS HERE) hoping it would give me a chance to get rid of the main bad guy, but nope. He damn well survived! Just like with the easy ending! I also REALLY hoped that the exhaustion of the leveling skills was due to the BOOK blocking excessive character development, which would have been a great plot solution, and new ones would appear in the next chapter once the boss was defeated, but... there was no next chapter. It was incredibly painful to realize that the game was so short!

Gods, in this game, absolutely all the side activities, like base building, researching technologies, and gathering allies, are completely useless and pointless. You literally just go, find good gear, and can go to the main boss, clearing out everything that moves along the way. In fact, I didn't even REALIZE that I was heading straight to the end of the game, it was such a sudden revelation.

This game should ideally have at least two more acts to explore all the possibilities and make them meaningful, and to complete the story itself, rather than collapse everything into the abyss of an open ending.

it is, in theory at least, done as a 1.1 build, and although there should be more updates, the last one being nearly a year ago, but the dev is working on another game and has kinda left this one out for a bit. I agree that there should be a few more acts and the side stuff like dungeon building should've been a bit more fleshed out, as well as a few options for difficulty and such since I've never been able to get good enough gear due to the RNG not liking me, and making magic more viable
