I got him! haha
When I learned that you get upgrades when you die and hit a checkpoint I started stacking on extra jumps and movement speed so I can reach the first checkpoint until I can basically fly around, I was flying in the ghost chase event, I had fun!

My primary goal for my first game jam was to just make a game. The second goal was to make it work fairly well. Finally, I'd consider it a matter of bonus points if it also happened to be fun, which I was not convinced that it would be lol! 😅
