The first time I played through The Guy’s Palace, there were all these fucking invisible kill traps everywhere. I thought it was some kind of game design choice — like, “you’re close to the finale, now it’s gonna screw you a hundred times harder, no way you’ll memorize the trap patterns now.”
BUT IT TURNS OUT, FUCKING HELL, IT WAS BECAUSE I HAD THE EFFECTS TURNED OFF. You usually disable them during the Dracula fight for convenience.
