does it not work to just run the .sh file?

Choosing to open the .sh file pulls up a page of script, and choosing to execute the file gives me this error:

I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred.

Before loading the script.

Running ./Tropicali.sh works for me, and does not give that error.
It looks like your archive is corrupted.
Try redownloading the game. Itch can corrupt downloads sometimes.
Is game/archive.rpa size 4139572282 in ls?

What is ls? Are there commands I have to enter to run the game?

Please pardon my ignorance. I feel like I’m trying to learn a whole ass language.

You should just be able to run the game.

If it can't run, try downloading it using another method that isn't itch.io, such as https://gofile.io/d/nWaoiL

That error likely means you need to redownload the game. Itch.io has an issue where it corrupts downloads a lot. So redownload it via itch or the link provided.

So the file was busted. Redownloading did the trick. Thank you for your help :)

Edit: Nevermind I guess. It started fine once, but I had to reset my Steamdeck and now it’s back to giving me that error again.

Edit again: So the download was fine to begin with, it just can’t be read from my SD card.
