I come up with a name 

then a main character then the characters backstory 

then what they do  eg.go looking for prey but then come across a badger

then add some grief like his mother dies in battle 

then add some prophecy like in the first book I did

then add why in a revealed way like the prophecy said when you are most powerful light will come and beat the dark then a few moons later dark means darkfall the best warrior you have is bad then one of your other warriors sacrifice themselves to save you killing them and darkfall
