The character designs are very memorable. The backgrounds perfectly capture the mood and gave me a trapped-in feeling. The UI is gorgeous, that must have been a lot of work.
In my first run I tried to be a good girl and never question the church. It is such a nice twist and good commentary on how cults work that I still ended up sinning against the church. Even though thankfully the water purified me.
You really nailed down the gaslightning and doublethink. Great game!
