That's indeed weird, can you replicate it and tell me when it started? That would be really helpful!
It specifically started as soon as Ch. 2 started all the way to the ending on my playthrough but, i think it's sorta fixed now. I reinstalled the game and kept a backup of my save. The back button works now!
