People were here for the adult content and decent story since most AVNs have bad stories with good smut.
Why would anyone support you when you can never finish projects? You said you loved the story of your unreleased game and that's partially why you made this decision.
It's unreleased, don't you think people should play it first before deciding on shifting your other projects, projects people paid for, to this mysterious games direction?
When people say Patreon and Adult games are scams, this kind of stuff is what they're talking about.
People are saying you can come back to the game later but honestly, don't bother. I doubt anyone here would take you seriously and all faith would be gone.

Edit: You need to edit your Patreon post btw, you're not losing "part" of the player base, you're losing most of the player base and if you remove the harem/smut (integral to the story btw) you'll lose the rest of the player base.
