I downloaded this game as soon as I saw your tumblr post, having also been a silent fan of the dev's AMV's and comics. I was already expecting something amazing but I wasn't ready for how BEAUTIFUL this game is!
From the beginning all the way through to the too-soon end, the art is high-quality, the atmosphere is romantic and lush, and absolutely full of stunning details only a true creative and TGCF lover could pull off. The music, the BG's, the sprites, wardrobe, all of it oozes with elegance, homeliness, and tastefulness. You can feel the rich cocktail of sensations, movement, and sensuality in every image, I can't possibly choose a favorite!
And who can forget the pair themselves; Xie Lian and Hua Cheng look absolutely adorable yet so very handsome. Their romance and passion turned what was meant to be a "few minutes" gaming session into nearly two hours of giggling and rolling around in bed poring over every line of text. I love them, and I love this game.
Not to mention the writing! It, of course, is excellent as well, capturing the "voice" and humor of the original work, while retaining a moving sense of devotion and heartwarming romance. It very much feels canon, and I have high-praise for how in-character everyone is written. I daresay the writing could work as a standalone fic, but is nonetheless greatly enhanced by the visuals.
If you're a fan of the TGCF extras, boy, will this feed you for MONTHS!!!!!! Thank you so very much, dev!
TLDR: I love this high-quality, beautiful game. I'd love to see more of it ASAP, but am more than happy to wait 800 years for an update.
