I am working through the tutorial below and was asked a question that wasn't addressed in the tutorial and he suggested I ask here....
In the version of charpad I am using, 3.8.0 from 8/26/2025, when converting to 2x2 tiles, I am asked "Tiles will initially use char image zero as blank, but this current image zero is not blank. insert one now?"
Of course we have an @ in char 0. If I say yes this this question, a blank image is put in position 0 and all characters are shift one position to the right (wrapping as needed).
If I say no, it does do that, but then the Tile Set, Tile Editor, and Map Editor show up with @ signs all over them.
Am I to say no and then clear out the @ signs or change them to a space?
