Its really confusing to automate at first, maybe having the chance to name trucks and changing routes from their menu should be a feature
Also it appears that truck don't actually give in the parcels when in auto mode, they keep it in the invetory and don't trade them to the delivery point, its confusing, automation feels like a downgrade
