Holy crap. The art, the animations, the writing, the music choices -- everything about this game is so incredibly heartfelt. You can tell the devs poured their heart and soul into making such a gorgeous and touching game.

Honestly the beginning portion was so heartbreaking. I cried a ton. I've never been into drugs or ever felt truly depressed, but reading the first person perspective of someone who has both is just so devastating. It's so heartbreaking to think of all the people who have actually lived through those things and are still going through those things now. I really hope you guys haven't gone through this yourself, but it feels a little too real and raw to be 100% fiction. 😭😭😭

It's honestly so true that oftentimes, we're more motivated to protect someone else than ourselves. I'm glad Billy found his person to protect. 😭😭😭

It was such a touching story about the power of human connection and music. I'm glad that they both ended up alright!!! ;-;

I really hope that many real life stories have the same type of happy ending.

Duuude, I don’t even know where to start replying you ;_; I’m totally overwhelmed by your message!!

About what you said at the beginning: this game is the result of the idea, work and effort of one of the members of the studio, Kos. And yes, I can guarantee: he poured his whole heart and soul into it in ways I honestly struggle to put into words. This game is extremely personal to him.

That brings me to the second part of your message: yes, the story is fiction, but like all good fiction it’s full of truth. There are many (unfortunately real) experiences Kos has tried to speak about in this story, and while none of them are directly based on a specific real event, the feelings absolutely are. I can’t say much more about that; it’s something he should speak about himself if he wants to. I can only tell you that it’s wonderful to read a message like yours; it helps confirm that the message reached its destination :) It already made all the work worth it!!

What you said is absolutely true. In my opinion (and this might be controversial) people always say you have to love yourself and make changes for yourself, and that if you don’t love yourself nobody will…but, sorry to say, I think that’s a very simplistic view. It’s perfectly possible (thankfully) that the love of someone else can push us and help us find reasons to love ourselves through another person’s eyes. In fact, sometimes finding reasons to help someone we love can give us the strength to keep going and, eventually, to take care of ourselves. In short: positive feelings win over negative ones! So yes, even though it’s sad, I do think that finding someone to protect in a moment when we’re destroying ourselves can be exactly what we need. ^^

I’m also glad Zac and Billy found their peace in the end! But believe me, it wasn’t easy; there’s still a lot more to tell about them. Maybe someday…

And yes, I hope so too. All the people who have been through certain hells deserve as much love and peace as possible.

Once again, thank you so much for your message, for playing the game, for enjoying it, for your feedback about the Mac version… for everything!! You’re the best ❤️❤️

And would I say I’m sorry we made you cry with the game…? I’d be lying 😈 HAHAH
