Hi thanks for your play through. I was the lead developer on this game I am the one who made the graphics and the monster. I agree with almost all your points (Except for the spiriting it is designed so you run out of stamina however it could have used UI).
The main problem in the development is the others barely contributed and were apposed to the darker themes I wanted to add. You were supposed to find your friends dead body at the end of the game but everyone else wanted a happy ending.
I am planning to rerelease the game in the way I would have wanted it I encourage you to play it when it is finished.
