You don't need to use Steam or Lutris to run this game, literally just run it under any wine prefix.
You are not running the game on Linux without using WINE, I promise you.
I tried to use wine to get VotV working, but I can't seem to get the lighting to work right.(I have lighting issues on linux)

Can you give me more details? What display server are you using? Nvidia or AMD? If Nivida, what version of the drivers are you using?
