He'll be really happy to read this post. A lot of people on other sites have been quite disparaging about the dad or treat the dad as some sort of rival. But as an actual father himself (we have twin toddler sons and raise our teenage niece) , he thinks including the family element is important and adds depth to the story and his characters. And, you know, sometimes a dad is just a dad.
