It's always fun hearing how people open their OSTs with different ambiance, Essence sets a very strong tone very quick and make me picture a beach with raging winds blowing the tides up high. The slow and subtle movement keeps it moving forward and evolving, which I like a lot!
The Mystery of the Third Water feels like it's a little closer and more grounded than the very ambient first song, which is a great way to continue the story I think. There's more melodic movement and textures and continues on the train of slowly evolving over time. I have no idea how much it was looping, or if it was looping, but it all felt familiar and completely new.
I like how resonant those low notes are in Wandering, it feels like something's gone very very wrong or you've discovered something that you really shouldn't have. Despite the dissonance it doesn't sound entirely minor or major and plays around with the mood of the chords to make something very emotionally chaotic while simultaneously feeling suspended in time. Super cool stuff, and great way to close off the tracks!
