The game is best played on desktop devices. The saves in mobile devices are stored locally and are supposed to be stable. But lately the save files are missing during updates. An upcoming version will allow downloading saves to a user-defined location. For manual retrieval as well to ensure that nothing will be missing. Thanks for reporting your experience, the game is still in Alpha and all issues that are found will be addressed.
