Absolutely adored this demo. Hoping the game is still in the works, it's hard to tell with the nature of Itch games.

There's always been something so fascinating to me about Dark Magical Girl stories. Maybe it's just because I grew up watching a lot of stuff like Sailor Moon, and more if you count stuff adjacent to the genre like Super Sentai and Power Rangers. And then Madoka happened, and the entire genre's formula flipped.
Most new stuff in the genre focuses on how futile Hope is as a concept, and the responsibility that comes with being a protector, and just how generally traumatic the experience should be.

With all that said, I'm interested in this game because it sorta seems like it's taking a different approach than most post-madoka magical girl media. They already died! Every single Magical Girl we meet (presumably) has killed themselves to be here. I mean, that's an incredibly dark but incredibly interesting premise. How will each character cope with that? How will they grow from it?
Because that's what Magical Girl is about. Coming of age. And fundamentally, writing a coming of age story about characters who killed themselves is comedically tragic.

I'm not exactly good at reviewing games, if my ramblings are anything to go by. Asides from my long-winded praise for the direction of the game, every character I've met has an interesting design. I've read all of 9 lines from Tragedia and I already love her. Big ":3" energy from the art alone. She's either the most wholesome or most fucked up person imaginable. No in-between, I'm calling it now.
And the music! The main menu track alone is adorable and goofy, and the other various music tracks throughout fit super well!

That review by ebihime from 2 years ago summed up much of what I wanted to say but couldn't say concisely. I personally adore the font, but sans-serif for accessibility should be in basically every VN, or any game that has a weird font as a whole. God knows OFF needed it.
Otherwise, my only hope is that the full game will have a proper flowchart. There seems like there will be a fair amount of genuinely important choices, WHICH I LOVE. But that can quickly make a game way less fun if there's not a clean way to navigate through them (cough cough, Class of 09)

All in all, I desperately hope for more of this. Not really active on Itch, but I'll be watching my steam wishlist for this with a firm gaze.

It's absolutely still in the works. We've made some big leaps recently, so hoping to release before the end of the year... though not guaranteed. Glad you like the game thus far and hope you'll like it when it fully releases!! Especially Tragedia, who is very fun to write.

We did add a built-in sans-serif font option/toggle. Though overall this menu is a work in progress as to the UI...

I actually hadn't thought of a flowchart before. ...Something to think about.
