Option 3 sounds good to me. A bit of both the first two options.
Also regarding what the macro bath could provide, how about based on how successful you interact with the Macro Preds, your humor/charisma improves. Since I know that's a wip stat you are working on, you could use the Macro baths as a sort of stat gate to unlock other preds or prey scenes. Like Sophie for example.
