First thing I want to say is that the art is really good, being the best part of the game, and something I think makes this game worth playing on its own,  and the idea of the game is great. However, I feel at this stage it needs some refinement.

The main issue right now is that the game feels unfair to the player, as you die too fast, with it taking too long to perform the eating action, and the kick doesn't stun for long enough, allowing 3 enemies to easily overwhelm you unless you spam kick. I suggest increasing the stun time, as well as allowing players to kick multiple enemies at once and maybe extending the hit box, as this would make the kick a solid starting option in big fights to give time to eat. I also like how you can kick objects at enemies, and I think you could also explore combat in that direction as well.

For the enemies, I think melee enemies aren't much of an issue and can be fun in 1-on-1 scenarios, but range characters prevent most actions and will stun-lock you due to how they group up, and there is no effective way to stop that. I would suggest slowing down their cooldown or giving them some sort of weakness, like longer stun times or faster to eat.

The best enemy, in my opinion, is the mummy as it punishes a rushing player and rewards you for waiting out the attack. The only issue is that it can drain your HP fast, but I think that could be a fun design if you had more HP and a way to get HP back.

Customizable controls would also be nice, since A on jump feels off to me.

I also think it would be nice for the enemy to be able to eat you as well. Maybe have it instead of dying, you get knocked down and must do something to get back up before you get eaten.

Overall, I like this so far; it just needs more options for the player other than just hoping for an opening, as I think a game like this should reward the player for using the tools to get out of tricky situations, which, at the moment, it doesn't.

So please don't let the negatives dissuade you, as I think that with some tweaks, this game would be very fun, as a simple beat 'em up to see how much you can feed the character. You've done a great job so far, and I look forward to seeing more from you in the future.
