You should be able to save, we tested it on android too. What android version are you using? And What happens when you try to save?
I didn't get an option to save it I must have missed it
You can save from the Options menu. Once you get past the story part, you get prompted in Lobby screen and from there you can enter Options (the button is located at the top-left corner)
