This is pretty darn tough and I feel the collision shape/box is very large for the character sprite and that is probably making it a bit harder than it might want to be. But if you are going for a rage game (especially with the reset back to the beginning so abruptly) then you are spot on. :p

I do feel that sound effects would elevate this to a completely different level. The beating music sets the tone, but collisions having an effect would be cool.

I also though while playing that it would be sweet if some of those cannons fired out bits of biscuits instead of the basketballs and so at first you would dodge them and then when you get hit the first time it would be a eureka moment and you'd realise you had part of a bickie. Then the player would really be focusing on the cannon output...

Good work on creating all of this and getting a solid wee playable game submitted. Kudos!!
