Pretty cool entry, this one really kept me playing till the end. I think the visuals are very stunning, i like the environment design especially. The level design is not bad, but the difficulty curve is pretty random. Some levels (like 1 and 7) feel pretty hard, while other where then almost trivial. Especially the last level felt a bit meh, since the realization was just “oh you can turn the buttons back off”.
The must frustrating level was 7 for me, which had the typical problem that i find in a lot of puzzle games. It’s when you figured out the solution, but still have to use multiple attempts, because how to do it is very error prone. To get the body to land correctly without falling down always took a few tries, and every time i need to restart the whole level for it, which is quite annoying. There was also the pool right before the end, which was just on the edge of a doable jump, so i would fail it maybe 30% of the time, so that was another issue. (Even though, here you could also use the box to make it easier, and the body to block the laser instead) But these kinds of things are pretty annoying.
The other thing i found really tedious the the mirror mechanic. I really dislike having to suddenly switch to the mouse, in a game that i don’t think needs it. I like to play this games with Arrow Keys + Space + Shift/Ctrl, so i have both hands on the keyboard most of the time. To then switch to the mouse is very annoying, especially it’s still only click based, i don’t get additional precision through it (which would have been helpful). The turning is quite hard to do to get to the correct angle, i think the rotation is just too fast. You can easily make it slower for more precision, then you can still hold click to turn it faster, instead of having to do a lot of short clicks, because it moves so fast every time. I would have also simply control the rotation with the same keys you have for movement, it’s much more congruent with the rest of the controls.
There also seem to be some sound issues with the web-build, sometimes the footsteps and other times the laser sounds are cutting out / not playing. Small nit about the Laser: I found it quite odd that it was exactly one whole tone above the Key of the background music, that created a bit of dissonance, not sure if that was intended, but i would have probably either made it the same key, or, if you want it to cut through the background music strongly, just not have it match a real tone of the music.
But overall i had a good time with this one, so great job!
